Designate trusts as annuity beneficiaries

Flourish Annuities* now offers trust type beneficiaries. This new platform enhancement supports clients in the estate-planning process, allowing them to designate trusts as beneficiaries on new or replacement contracts.
Clients can now designate up to four beneficiaries – individuals and/or trusts – per annuity contract.
Updating beneficiaries
The process of updating beneficiaries depends on the status of the annuity application or contract.
Applications that are in progress "with advisor"
- Advisors can log in to Flourish and navigate to the 'Annuities' dashboard
- On the Annuities dashboard, go to 'In progress' and click "Continue"
- Find the client from the list of in progress applications, and click "Edit application"
- Click "Edit application" and select 'Beneficiaries' from the list of options
- Once on the Beneficiaries page, edit and/or add beneficiaries on behalf of your client before sending to them for signature
Applications that are in progress "with client"
- Clients can log in to their Flourish account and select the application they'd like to update
- In the application, they will need to go through the steps until they get to 'Beneficiaries'
- Once on the Beneficiaries page, they can review beneficiaries and make changes before signing the application
